Founded in 2024 by the Equitable Commerce team, our directory serves as a vital resource for both businesses and individual consumers seeking to support Black and Indigenous businesses.

By providing users with a directory Black and Indigenous Merchants on the Shopify platform, we are collectively enabling more opportunity, more access, and more self-determination, particularly for individuals and groups who’ve historically been shut out or shut down by prevailing economic systems.

We believe that every purchase has the power to make a difference. By using this directory to increase the diversity of supplier pools/the merchants from whom we make purchases, users are contributing to the sustainability and growth of Black and Indigenous enterprises.
